Questions & Answers
When ordering a Lace Unit, there are a few key terms you will need to understand in order to complete the order form for each product. These terms are referred to as specifications (or specs) when completing your order form. Below, I have listed each of specs and their definitions to assist you in placing your order!
Is the hair Indian Remy Hair? Yes. Unless you state otherwise, all hair used to complete your order will be 100% Indian Remy Hair. Other choices are Chinese Remy or European Remy (which is more expensive but available). There are many other types of Remy Hair available, but these are the most commonly used. Indian Hair being the most popular.
What type of lace is used? Usually French lace is used to complete all orders. This type of lace is fragile but durable enough for a beginner or daily wear client and undetectable. There are other types of laces and bases of course but French lace is the most commonly used. You will have an option to order Swiss Lace with your custom order. Swiss lace is undetectable, however is not suggested for a first time lace wig wearer because it is more fragile than French lace.
Are the knots bleached? Yes. Knot bleaching is a very necessary portion of the ventilation process which is the proper term for the process of hand making the lace units. Ventilation is where the hairs are single handedly tied to the lace strand by strand and knotted at the base. Once the hairs are completely knotted, the knots are then bleached to blend with the lace and aid in the illusion of the hairs growth. This is such an important factor in the outcome of your unit that it is not even asked on your order form because it is already done and at no additional charge!
Hair Length: The length of the lace unit is before any curl or wave has been done to the hair itself. The hairs are measured from where the hairs are placed on the cap of the wig to the very end of the hair.
Are there baby hairs? Yes. Baby hairs have become such a necessity in the lace wig industry that it is not even a question any longer. Each unit will come with natural baby hairs unless you request otherwise.
Tip:When placing your order, always add 2 inches when choosing a curly or wavy texture, so you will receive the expected results.
